The RPM Friction Pro V2 utilizes new technology to improve upon 2025’s paddle of the year, the RPM Friction Pro. The V2 includes RPM’s new Axial Carbon Layup, coupled with an enhanced EVA foam ring to generate elite spin & power and enhance the biggest sweet spot on the market. Co-designed and built by James Ignatowich, a top 10 world-ranked professional pickleball player, the RPM Friction Pro line was engineered with professional, advanced play in mind. RPM LABS has combined its CarbonBite Surface, Axial Carbon Layup, and Tri-Density Core technologies to engineer revolutionary performance for every player.

The Friction Pro’s hybrid shape splits the difference between elongated and widebody play. It keeps enough added length for reach on high balls and volley attacks, while a wider face preserves the broad, forgiving sweet spot that widebody players rely on. The flat top profile squares off the head of the paddle, distributing mass toward the top of the face for added stability and plow-through on drives. With a thicker 16MM core, this high-performance paddle delivers increased stability and plush shock absorption, with elite power that feels controllable. The Friction Pro 16MM Hybrid Flat Top is designed for players who want elongated reach and power without giving up the forgiveness and control of a wider face.

Designed by James Ignatowich, a top-ranked PPA champion, it's the first paddle of its kind - engineered specifically to give players a distinct edge in high-level pickleball competition.

RPM stands for Revolutions Per Minute, aka “spin,” which was our first priority. Our cofounders spent years curious about how to impart more spin on the ball, and felt that paddle technology was behind in this regard. As a direct result, our engineers at RPM LABS developed a formula to optimize the “coefficient of friction” on our CarbonBite carbon fiber surface - allowing players to access levels of spin they’ve never accessed before.
